For the Huughe Metalen branch in Ghent (see
www.huughemetalen.be), we are looking for:
A yard worker/crane operator; a Class C driver’s license is a plus (M/F/X)
You will be responsible for quality inspection and proper storage of goods (ferrous and non-ferrous).
In addition, you will also be responsible for the following tasks:
(approximately 75% yard work/crane operation, 25% driving/administration):
- You ensure the smooth receipt of materials and weigh everything correctly;
- You manage inventory; together with your colleagues, you sort or grade delivered goods (either manually or mechanically);
- You are responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness on the job site;
- You maintain good relationships with suppliers;
- You will arrange the necessary transportation
Job Requirements
Do you have experience as a construction worker/crane operator and do you enjoy rolling up your sleeves? You definitely have an edge!
Do you also possess the following skills?
- You’re hands-on, flexible, and eager to learn;
- You feel at home in an SME with short decision-making chains and a sense of initiative
- Forklift certification and crane certification
- A Class C driver’s license is a plus but not required
- Experience in the recycling industry is a plus
